An Inspiring Read...

Have you ever read a book that once you've finished it you wanted to hug it at the end? (I don't know about all of you, but I HAVE actually hugged a book when I finished it lol) Have you ever finished a story and felt so moved by something you felt like you HAD to do something to be a part of it? Well recently I had the pleasure of reading a book so moving, so inspirational that I decided I had to do my part and share it with you all.

So for those of you that are in my daily life I apologize because you'll find this post to be redundant. (Hope you continue reading anyway...) Mary Ellen, you in particular, will probably poke fun at me because you know I have told everyone to read this book. For the rest of you, I'm sure you're tingling with anticipation and here it is. It's called "Kisses from Katie" by Kate Davis (now Majors).

So let me give you a brief synopsis. "Kisses from Katie" is the story of how a young girl from Tennessee makes the life altering decision to go on a mission trip to Africa. This book follows Katie as she begins her journey and follows her every inspiring step. From her beginnings working at a school and living within an orphanage to the conception of her thriving non-profit organization, you experience every beautiful and heart breaking moment with Katie.

Katie's determination and faith in this book is something you will see from page one. To be honest I was a little nervous to read "Kisses from Katie" because I am not a religious person. I thought that I would be overwhelmed with the religious undertones and lose sight of the story she was telling, but I didn't find that to be the case at all. What I found instead was complete appreciation and hope for humanity because there are people like this young woman in the world.

Now, I won't give anymore away, but if you like a story that will lift you up and make you believe there is still good in the world this story is for you. If I had one word I had to choose to describe this book it would be heartwarming. So if you're like me and like to get all the feels from a story I highly recommend "Kisses from Katie ".
