I think we all need a healthy dose of love right now. There is so much turmoil and hatred going on in the country right now and I think we just need a break. People disagree and that's okay but what isn't okay is the amount of bullying, bashing, and misunderstanding that is going on right now and has been for the past year. So for everyone who is reading this I give to you a reprieve, a big ol' breath of fresh air.

I have a lot of people in my life that have different beliefs than myself. I'm a big ol' softy. If I were to be in pageants they would love me because I legitimately would love to see world peace happen one day. Is that wishful and maybe naive thinking? Probably, but I don't care, judge away. This wishful thinking doesn't always translate well to others. I'm trying to get to a point in my life where I can accept others opinions and still feel strong in my own without fighting with negativity. Why am I doing this you ask? Because my opinion is just that, my opinion, and others opinions are those as well. Leave it at that. No need to fight, no need to belittle, just let it be one way or another. If you're in the mood to spar, spar away but I won't do it unless it's in a peaceful matter. (Again, I'm trying to keep this mentality in mind and I don't always succeed. I am only human after all.)

Now with that being said, what my goal of this post today is what my goal is every time, love. Are you as tired as I am from listening to all of the negativity? All of the division? Then opt out of it. Let's try to put our differences aside and promote our similarities. We may believe and feel different things but what makes us all the same is the fact that we are all apart of the human race. We are all experiencing life in the same moment and that is something to be respected and enjoyed. Do we have to love every single person we interact with in one way or another? No, but what we need to do is respect that they are human beings. If you don't like them, don't interact with them it's as simple as that.

My plan for this post isn't rocket science. It's to serve as a reminder that for those of you that read this, for those of you that are in this world, I want you to know that I respect you. I believe that bad or good you are here to make a difference in one regard or another and that makes you important. I send you love, I offer my hand in friendship, and I hope that you know you are kicking ass. We may find ourselves experiencing life at different ends of the spectrum but what we have in common is the fact that we're both in the world at the same time. It's a crazy place and time that we are here existing but we got this. I salute you for making it as far as you have in one piece because I'm sure you have had things that have gotten in the way at one point or another. Life is hard, this world is hard, but you don't have to be.

So my friends, at this point in our lives, in our world and country that is full of fear of the unknown and I want you to know that I'm by your side. You have lots of people I'm sure that care about you, lots of beautiful reasons to smile, so lets focus on that. Let's focus on love and forget about everything else because what we need right now is a big ol' helping of positivity.

"I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear."

- Martin Luther King, Jr.

...I hope you do too. <3
